If there's one non-beauty beauty supply I can't live without, it's contact lens solution. It is 100% one of the most USEFUL things you can have in your makeup kit. Don't believe me? Hold on to your butts — because I'm about to show you five insanely awesome contact lens solution hacks that every beauty lover needs to know about.
1. Add a few drops to powder eye shadow to turn it into a long-wearing liquid.
(Yes, this really works)
This is bareMinerals Eyecolor in Glimmer ($14, Sephora) which is ok on it's own, but AMAZING when applied wet. It's literally like gold leaf on your eyes.
2. Use a few drops to resurrect dried-out liquid liner.
This liner is a year old and on its last legs; a little contact lens solution restores it to full health!
Don't waste your time on any other liquid liner than LORAC Front of the Line pro ($23, Ulta). I have tried EVERYTHING, and this is by far the best.
3. Three or four drops will also de-clump mascara.
I'm very into Revlon's All In One Mascara ($9, Drugstore.com) for it's gorgeous coverage and lift — it's basically the next best thing to curling your lashes. I deliberately left the lid off this tube overnight so that it dried the hell out, and a little contact lens solution brought it right back to life!
4. Turn any eye shadow into amazing liquid liner.
A couple drops + a small brush = custom eyeliner!
5. Rehydrate dried-up brow product.
Anastasia Dipbrow pomade ($18, Sephora) is awesome, but every devotee knows that it dries out QUICKLY. Brings yours back to life with a few drops of — you guessed it! — contact lens solution.
