Jeffree Star's makeup tutorials are so extra, they've become their own YouTube challenge.
That's right — "I followed a Jeffree Star makeup tutorial" videos are sweeping YouTube's beauty and comedy communities, and some of the results are much better than others.
Here are just a few of the best, worst, and funniest attempts at imitation, ranked by true makeup skills.

Ah, the video that started it all. It might be the shadiest video of all time, but it's also the best makeup out of all the imitation videos.

Josie did not come to play around with Star's Modern Renaissance tutorial.
16. Alice Lockhart
Alice's video title is "I tried following a Jeffree Star makeup tutorial and I definitely nailed it." She's completely right on that one.

Eleanor WENT. FOR. IT. It's certainly not a Lipstick Nick-level creation, but I doubt most people would do this well given the challenge.

This looks definitely requires a little more blending.

Alisha Marie might not have salvaged this look, but I give her mad credit for going the extra mile with blue contact lenses.
5. Kenzie Elizabeth
Kenzie says there's "a SUBSTANTIAL difference" between her makeup and Star's. She's not… wrong.

TTYLTEALA definitely would've been better off with a little more time and some products more similar to Star's.
