It's hard to believe Gabrielle Union has time for anything, seeing that she's an in-demand actress, TV and Broadway producer, best-selling author, beauty entrepreneur, wife, and mother to a newborn, but she continues to surprise us. With a lot to celebrate this holiday season, she's launched yet another line with New York & Company. It's "all about being inclusive and creating pieces for every woman," and yes, of course, it's full of glitter.
Now in her ninth collection with the brand, Union stars alongside her friends and co-stars Raven Goodwin ("Being Mary Jane"), Ajiona Alexus ("Breaking In"), Essence Atkins ("Marlon"), and Valarie Pettiford ("Being Mary Jane") in the campaign, truly showcasing how good the pieces look on every body type.
Judging by the imagery, it seems like Union had the most fun yet with this collection.
"One of my goals from the very beginning was to offer on-trend fashion at affordable prices," she said. "Working with New York & Company was an easy decision because they do just that. I wasn’t given a short leash with the deal. New York & Company were really supportive of the ideas that I brought to the table and let me run with it."
And making it size-inclusive was a no-brainer. Both Union’s line and her campaign are size-inclusive, with extended sizes including petite and tall options ranging from XXS – XXL (00–20), with some plus size pieces ranging from 1X – 3X.
"I think that designer clothes that only fit a small part of the population is unfair and cruel," she told The Glow Up. "I wanted to create a line that my family from Omaha, Nebraska, would wear and has access to. My mom, sisters, aunts, cousins, you name it! We have petite, tall and plus sizes. I wanted every woman to feel represented in this line."
