The 2019 Cannes Film Festival is currently underway, and it's already given us some major style and beauty inspiration.
The annual event in the south of France brings out celebrities who are eager to promote their movies, show off on the famed red carpet, or both. Over the weekend, Helen Mirren made an appearance at the festival sporting a new — and somewhat surprising — hair color: bubblegum pink.
The 73-year-old actress, who's also a brand spokesperson for L’Oréal (which has been one of the festival's sponsors for more than two decades), totally turned heads in her all-pink look. And we are 100% here for this acting legend who proves, once again, that beauty is truly timeless.
In case you haven't heard, Dame Helen Mirren is a literal goddess.
Here she is, just casually enjoying a cocktail and looking like she has absolutely zero effs to give. According to the caption on her Insta post, the drink just so happened to be called "A Helen F***ing Mirren" from what she described as "one of the coolest local bars" named Pal's. I'm not sure where this magical place is located, but I am now determined to find out.
She takes selfies like a total pro.
During a recent trip to Italy, the dame herself blessed us with these snapshots from her epic travels.
"Out and about on a beautiful spring day in Milan with all the chic Milanese," Mirren wrote on Instagram. "The green buildings are famous architectural additions to the City. I think they are awesome."
Maybe so, but they are nowhere near as awesome as you are, girl!
And she goes to movies just like the rest of us mere mortals.
Back in March, she attended the world premiere of Dumbo in Los Angeles with her husband and grandson. She looked absolutely divine in a silvery gray dress and a black and white jacket. In true Dame Helen Mirren form, she had a drink in hand while she posed with the poster for the movie, making "Dumbo" ears with her hands. A legend.
Oh, and here she is hanging out with Jason Momoa!
Mirren and Momoa were co-presenters at the 2019 Academy Awards, prompting people to lose their cool over this impossibly perfect pairing. Making things even better? The duo accidentally coordinated their outfits for their big moment: Mirren was in a stunning pink gown and Momoa was in a blush pink suit.
Mirren shared this gem of a selfie on Instagram, captioning it, "backstage oh Lord lucky me."
Can we just live her life please?
All I want is to be fancy enough to pour wine directly from the cask, as demonstrated by Mirren herself in this snapshot on her Insta. She captioned it: "A visit to the wine makers Apollonia who make some of the best wines in Italy. Negromaro!"
I need to know how to get on her level.
Mirren recently upped her status as an icon at the Cannes Film Festival, where she debuted — wait for it — pink hair!

According to The Hollywood Reporter, her new 'do was the work of hairstylist Stephane Lancien. The summery shade matched perfectly with Mirren's stunning rose gold Elie Saab gown, which glittered and glistened on the Cannes red carpet. We especially love the slightly off-the-shoulder cut of the gown and those killer diamond earrings.
Here's a closer look at her dress — can I get one in my size, please?

Mirren is a brand spokesperson for L’Oréal, and at Cannes she was joined by her fellow brand ambassadors — including Amber Heard, Elle Fanning, and Eva Longoria — to promote L’Oréal on the festival's closely watched red carpet. As THR reports, L’Oréal has been a main sponsor of the big event for 22 years.
She was there to plug one of L'Oréal's products: the pink-hued Age Perfect Rosy Tone line.
On Instagram, the beauty brand wrote: "Age is not an issue! #LOrealCannes Helen Mirren knows that a bold beauty look is always in style for the red carpet, no matter your age! See how she prepares, and let us know your skin prep tips below!"
Well, consider me officially sold. If Dame Mirren approves, then that's all the information I need to make my purchasing decisions.
And clearly whatever she's using and doing is working.

Sadly the playful pink hair didn't last long. Shortly after her red carpet appearance, she was spotted back to her typical silver-slash-blonde hue. But while the color may have washed out, at least we'll always have these incredible images to look back on whenever we need a little motivation to do something ~daring~ and out of the ordinary.
We stan an ageless queen!

“All my life I’ve been looking at 16-year-old girls selling beauty, so I think it’s fabulous that they’re using a 70-year-old woman to sell products to other 60- to 80-year-old women," Mirren said when she signed on with L'Oréal back in 2016.
We could not agree more. Here's to many more years of Mirren's fabulousness gracing our feeds and timelines.
