Huda Beauty Is Releasing Its Own Version Of Body Lava Because Of Course It Is

The summer means a few things. One of those things is shimmer. And in the spirit of looking like a fresh-out-the-oven honey bun this season, it seems like all the brands are simultaneously dropping their own variations of body shimmers, or body lavas if you like to compare to Fenty. Now it's Huda Beauty bringing out the glow with an upcoming launch.

If these brands keep it up, we'll look like we've been rolling in glitter before the summer even starts, and our pockets and pores are overwhelmed. But while we prepare, let's see what Huda has to offer.

It's almost summer folks, and the millionth brand has made its own body shimmer.

Shimmer is clearly trending right now (how innovative) and it seems like every single beauty brand is pushing out some sort of its own variation. Most of them, greatly resembling the shades and formula of Fenty's now famous Body Lava. Most recently, it's Huda Beauty lobbing to the body shimmer world with its upcoming summer release.

Introducing N.Y.M.P.H.

It stands for Not Your Mama’s Panty Hose, and we're dying over the spunky and innovative name. And while we love that thick gel-lotion type formula, it seems like most shimmers these days boast the same one. So how is this any different? Or is it?

Just the other day, Huda teased the product during her makeup routine.

"Launching something new this week," she said on Instagram while applying a brown hued product to her face. "Look for hints in the video to guess what’s coming????"

Though the product itself was blurred out, it was apparent that it was some kind of bronzing substance that we could expect. And while body shimmers of the sort are not usually advertised as being for makeup routines, we're loving the multi-use properties.

Of course Trend Mood came with the receipts before anyone else.

Promising to "blur imperfections and add a stunning, sun-kissed tint to the skin," the water-resistant glow in a bottle won't transfer and won't sweat when you do. Packed with light reflecting pearl pigments, you'll be both radiating and waterproof all at the same time. Check out the three shades ahead.

Aurora

Comparable to Fenty's Brown Sugar Body Lava, Aurora is a toasty copper shade loaded with warm gold and bronze pearls to add radiance to rich skin tones. So for all those brown girls out there with deeper tones, this is the shimmer you'll want to give a try.

Aphrodite

We're loving the name of this one. Aphrodite is packed with rich gold pearls for a golden, bronzed finish on tan and medium skin tones.

Luna

Luna is the perfect name for this shimmer that reminiscent of a shimmering full moon. Fit for fair and light tones, this is a soft white gold blended with rose gold, and silver pearls. Hey, at least we can say that these body bronzers have all the range.

Did we mention that adorable applicator?

Applying shimmer with our hands? Not exactly our idea of neat. And of course, it won't result in the most consistent or even finish. Luckily, there's a curve-hugging brush that perfectly glides over the body for a seamless and quick glow-filled swipe.

So who will win?

Huda has been accused in the past of biting off of other brands, but as everyone seems to be making body illuminators nowadays, we don't see this one being that big of a deal. However, we think we're going to have to do a Huda Beauty and Fenty Beauty face-off to see which one we like the most.

"Huda Beauty was very inspired by Fenty Beauty I see lol," said a body lava fan on Twitter.

Now glow, folks.

We're not complaining about the influx of body illuminators, trust us. Who doesn't want to be the one at the day parties glowing from across the room? Stay tuned for our honest opinion on N.Y.M.P.H. when it officially drops on May 3!
