I Have 2 Kids With My Half Brother & Now We’re Getting Married

A couple in Spain reportedly have two children together despite the fact that they are half siblings. Ana Parra and her partner Daniel shared that they tried to ignore their feelings for each other at first, but eventually fell in love and started secretly dating. A trip abroad inspired the couple to share their relationship with the world.

The couple has two healthy children and are determined to make their relationship official and change Spain’s marriage laws, which do not allow marriage between close relatives.

The couple tried to resist at first, but ended up secretly dating.

The half siblings met over five years ago, and described it was love at first sight, reported the New York Post.

“We didn’t want to realize it,” Ana told Spanish media, reported New York Post. "We were angry with ourselves, because it was hard to admit and break that taboo. We are siblings even though we didn’t feel that way."

Ana said she tracked down Daniel on Facebook. The couple shared a kiss, and started dating in secret. “That kiss broke all barriers, marked a before and after. It was like a reality check. Imagine liking a girl and, for a moral reason, being forbidden to be with her. It’s really hard to deal with,” Daniel said.

A trip abroad inspired them to share their relationship and their story.

The couple traveled to London together and it inspired them to want to share their story with the world. “That was the first time we can say that we behaved, in public, like a real couple. We went out to dinner, we took walks. It was like an explosion of freedom,” Ana said. They shared their story with the world in a televised interview, but received a lot of hate from strangers.

“We didn’t feel like telling everyone our story one by one, so that’s why we decided to tell it this way. But there are people who have written to us on social media telling us that we’re going to burn in hell,” Ana said in the interview with Spanish media.

The couple is committed to their relationship and to changing Spain’s marriage laws so they can legally marry.

The couple have two children together, a boy and a girl, and appear to love being parents as mentioned in a post on Daniel’s Facebook. The post had a back-to-school photo with both of their children in it.

Daniel wrote in the caption, “Being a parent is very beautiful, emotional and exciting but at the same time it's a lot of sacrifice.” The couple is determined to get married and change the law in Spain, which doesn’t allow close relatives to marry.

Ana said, “Societies must advance and not cling to traditionalism. We love each other and that is what should prevail. We are not harming anyone. That is why we want people to know our story,” reported the New York Post.

The couple's story sparked controversy with readers.

While some readers commenting on the New York Post article thought people should leave the couple alone and let them be happy, others argued that it is not OK.

One reader wrote: “I don’t think so! Watch the seventh sign and get it straight man. This is just totally wrong, abhorrent and a total abomination and totally against gods will.”

"You don't have to answer to anyone but 'God'.!!" wrote another person. "Times are changing , F—what people think. 'Be Happy'. These same 'judgemental people' are going to do what they feel is best for them."
