I Swore I’d Never Wear These Shoes, Now My Entire Family Is Obsessed

Has there ever been a more polarizing shoe than Crocs? People either love them or hate them. They aren't exactly great looking, are not flattering, yet they have become more popular than ever. Maybe it's the fact that they are so comfortable. Perhaps it's because they have released some cool collabs. Whatever the reason, it's hard to step outside without seeing dozens of people rocking Crocs.

I have always bought Crocs for my kids as they are slip-resistant, durable, and easy to take on and off. The bright colors are fun for my boys, and we even got in on a Disney version or two. But for years, that's where I drew the line.

I never even considered buying a pair for myself until a recent family vacation changed my mind. I needed something comfortable that would keep me cool, and I didn't want to wear sneakers or flip-flops. I've seen Crocs everywhere and thought I would give them a shot since my kids loved theirs.

I ordered a pair for vacation, fell in love, and haven't taken them off since. That was two months ago, and it's safe to say I am a convert. I also bought my husband a pair for vacation, and he loves them. He wears them exclusively when he's not working, and I'm already thinking about our second pairs.

To break it down, here are some cool things about Crocs:

  • You can match with your family
  • They are waterproof
  • You can personalize them with Jibitz
  • They are super comfy

Wherever you stand on Crocs, we've rounded up a few of our favorite styles for kids and adults below.
