The Jaclyn Hill Morphe palette controversy has been unrelenting this week. And now Hill is addressing it. After being scrutinized on social media, she said she had no clue about the now-problematic ingredient change, and apologized to fans who were under the impression that the second palette was vegan and cruelty-free.
Check out her apology ahead.
Earlier this week, Morphe apologized for a formula change in Jaclyn Hill's second Morphe palette.
After social media erupted after it was revealed that the latest palette was not vegan and cruelty-free as the original, the brand released a statement explaining the reason. According to Morphe, its reason was to improve formulas and pigments, and the ingredient change was something that Hill herself was completely unaware of.
And now Hill is issuing her own apology.
Many aren't sure if they should believe Hill, but she's making it known that she had no idea that the new formula would not be the same as the last. "I was aware that they were increasing the performance of the product (pigmentation and creaminess) but not made aware of the ingredient change," she wrote in a Twitter post.
Will this finally put an end to the palette drama?
And will fans finally accept that Hill was completely clueless about the changes? Seeming as Hill can't seem to catch a break, we're not sure. But judging by the responses to the post, it's water under the bridge for many.
