Anyone who keeps up with the never-ending drama of the beauty world is well aware that Huda Kattan and James Charles surely aren't the best of friends. But now, that all may be changing after the former enemies posted a selfie with each other appearing to be teasing an upcoming collab. Fans really aren't sure what to think, but they're almost certain that the joining of forces may be to get back at one particular person.

Things are being shaken up in the beauty YouTuber world.
In a surprising turn of events, it looks like Huda Kattan and James Charles are playing nice — they may even be collaborating. In a recent post, Kattan teased the budding friendship. "Sister lunch…. more to come @monakattan @nikita_dragun@jamescharles," she wrote on a photo of the pair, which also included Nikita Dragun and Kattan's sister Mona.
The partnership is interesting considering that Charles has notoriously talked lots of smack about Kattan.
Remember that infamous makeup-smashing video with Jeffree Star and Charles, in which they accused Kattan of being a homophobe?
"Yeah but there’s also the fact that he accused her of being homophobic in that video he did with Jeffree Star where they destroyed makeup together, including one of her highlighter palettes (I guess he’s changed his mind now? Lol). Collabing with someone who is controversial but bankable is one thing, collabing with someone who makes accusations about your character is another," a critical fan wrote in a comment on a Reddit thread.
This is looking like a classic case of "your enemy is my enemy so let's be friends."
Kattan and Star haven't been fans of each other in ages, so the combination is really not that big of a surprise. The collaboration will surely rub Star the wrong way.
"Associating with a brand that your arch nemesis J* hates. It's a win win. Not to mention J* is all proud of his last Morphe collab and being sold at Ulta. If JC gets a collab with Huda and ends up being sold at Sephora, he would one up him," another Redditor commented.
But why Charles of all people?
Fans think Charles may be a good way for Kattan to get her brand even more publicity considering his demographic. "If a brand wants to gain publicity outside of the beauty community, keep it 'hip and cool' (lol) and have buzz but don't have budget for A-list celebrities, I'd say James Charles is the right choice. Most people I know who are into makeup have no idea who most of the 'big' influencers in the beauty community are except maybe for James Charles and have no idea about most of the drama going on with influencers," someone noted.
But fans were also critical of something else — how Dragun looked.
We can't quite put our finger on it, but she legit looked like a different person. "If it wasn’t for the tag I would NOT have known that was Nikita, something about her looks really different here," someone commented. Could it maybe be some new fillers?
Even Charles appeared noticeably different.
In case you missed it, Charles just dyed his hair bleach blonde, a color we've never seen on the influencer.
"It looks like James is photoshopped in. Also James doesn't look like James. Also Great Value Kardashians," a commenter joked.
So what will the collab be?
Possibly a Sisters X Huda Beauty palette? Seeing as Kattan had her sister present, and Dragun and Charles affectionately refer to each other as such, it would make perfect sense. Looks like we'll have to stay tuned, and be ready for a Star reaction video.
