It's safe to say that Kylie Skin hasn't been Kylie Jenner's most successful release. It's been criticized since its inception, the branding is questionable, and people that bought the product have taken to social media to announce that their skin is in disarray thanks to its products.
And though YouTuber Jeffree Star said that he was resolving to stay out of this mess after the James Charles fiasco, that won't stop him from stirring the pot with an all-too-shady Kylie Skin review. That's why he's the latest to review the controversial brand, and he really had nothing good to say.
Much to the pleasure of thousands of Jeffree Star fans, he just reviewed Kylie Skin.
The beauty YouTuber finally caved after receiving thousands of requests to review the highly talked about skin-care line. After Patrick Starrr's visibly biased video came out last week, people were looking for a truthful opinion before shelling out cash for the celebrity-created brand. Alongside his friend and fellow YouTuber Shane Dawson, the personality-ridden pair spent 30 minutes trying every single product.
And oh boy, did they rip it to literal shreds.
And not just a little bit — Star and Dawson panned the collection from beginning to end. Like, even the makeup wipes couldn't be used without the duo noting that they were extremely dry. Star used three to remove his makeup alone, still not able to accurately get rid of his mascara. But that was just the beginning.
It was all an epic fail, to say the least.

Dawson's face began to burn every single time he used any of the products (must we note he has notoriously sensitive skin), and Star really felt nothing. However, to our surprise, he didn't roast the face scrub like most people have. In fact, he compared the feeling to a gentle sugar scrub before imitating a sniffing motion that's already been widely memed. But that was about the only positive of the review, and when it came to the eye cream, Star and Dawson said the smell was reminiscent of Beggin' Strips — yeah, DOG TREATS.
But the video was a complete accident.

No, literally. In fact, the video only came about because Dawson purchased the products out of his own pocket to try out in real life ($200+ worth, exactly). After he announced the news to Star, the two decided on an impromptu review that took place the second the product arrived. The two awaited impatiently, tracking the FedEx delivery and instantly cracking open the box when it arrived.
And just as it goes with anything else Star does, social media was tuned in.
Some felt that any review that involved Star and Jenner was doomed from the jump, and they were probably right. Star noted that there was some beef in the past with the two, and he's been removed from all of Jenner's PR lists. So while we don't know exactly what went down, we can't imagine that he was completely unbiased.
"Jeffree star took such a negative approach to reviewing kylie’s skin care line, he was rude the whole way through and had literally no knowledge of the ingredients or their purpose/effect," someone said.
But others weren't surprised at all by the review.
"Watched @JeffreeStar and @shanedawson do a Kylie Skin review – long story short it was super hyped when in reality it's basic. Shane looked like he was robbed $265 at the end and scared Kylie would come after him," another noted.
General consensus?

After calling the products "basic," and Star saying he doesn't "feel like himself," it's safe to say neither YouTuber was a fan. Dawson's face was beet red, inflamed, and visibly irritated, and Star said he had a tight feeling that was less than desirable.
And while some still want to try it our for themselves, judging by the track record, we're still going to have to pass.
