By now, we all know the counterfeit makeup is absolutely disgusting. Sure, maybe it's cheaper than the real thing. Maybe it's easier to get than Kylie's legit Lip Kits. But risking putting rat poison or pee on your face?
Not worth it.
The latest beauty personality to speak out against counterfeit products? Jeffree Star. He's currently chastising Walmart after fans revealed that fake Jeffree Star Cosmetics products were being sold through Walmart.com.
Jeffree is NOT happy about "nasty FAKE" JSC being sold on Walmart's website.
"Dear @Walmart," Star wrote. "Allowing 3rd party companies to sell counterfeit nasty FAKE makeup on your website is illegal. And also highly dangerous. My legal team has reached out and we want answers."
And he is NOT taking this lying down.
"Just Incase you didn’t know… counterfeit makeup, created to resemble and copy my packaging, is made with deadly ingredients, like rat poison and lead… I will prosecute any company willing to sell harmful products to the public. It’s truly disgusting."
The fakes in question are being sold by third party vendors through the Walmart website, which lends a shady enterprise the veneer of legitimacy.

Real talk: I didn't know that Walmart had an Amazon-like system of stocking products from individual sellers. If I were on the Walmart website and saw Jeffree Star makeup, I'd think that was an authorized reseller.
And I'm sure thousands of other people made a similar mistake.
Jeffree plans to show the entire world exactly HOW gross fake makeup really is — with the help of a cosmetic chemist.
"I have bought several fake #jeffreestar products from a few websites and I’m having it tested by a chemist to show you how deadly these products are… Video coming soon. Lawsuit coming soon."
He also tweeted the official list of AUTHORIZED JSC retailers. Buying from one of these places is the *only* way to be sure you're not getting a revolting, poison-filled fake.
He also thanked his fans for bringing this to his attention.
Because big sites scamming people with knockoff makeup? NEVER OK.
