It happened.
After nine months full of controversy that felt much longer than nine months, Kat Von D gave birth in her own home to a baby boy, the father of whom is Von D's husband, Rafael Reyes. The couple has already shared the baby's name on social media a few times, but at last, the couple has shared photos of the child who has brought Von D and her brand a lot of criticism.
Kat Von D just announced that she gave birth to a baby boy, whom she and husband Rafael Reyes have named Leafar Von D Reyes.

Yes, that's Reyes' first name spelled backwards, which is also one of his own stage monikers.

Von D had a natural birth at her own home in Los Angeles with a doula present.

The months leading up to her giving birth — and the actual birth itself — have been filmed as part of a documentary, the release of which Von D has yet to announce.

This baby is not even a week old, and he has already been subjected to some pretty heavy criticism, thanks to his parents' public declaration that he will not be vaccinated and will have a completely vegan diet.

She claims that she and her husband are not "anti-vaxxers."

Throughout her pregnancy, Von D also decided to "ditch our doctor and go with a midwife instead," which was also frowned upon by many parents, her own father included.

Von D said on Instagram that she will likely take a break from social media to focus on parenthood for the time being.
