Guess what, guys? Kim Kardashian has changed up her hair once again. This time, it's not a new vibrant or out-of-the box color, or a dramatic cut or bob — nope. Instead she's gone longer, and not just a few inches; we're talking about close to a whole additional foot worth of hair. She revealed the look on Instagram after teasing an upcoming eyewear line, and we are gagging!
And while a Kardashian hair switch is usually straightforward, after this, we have questions. Boasting hair so long, how is Kimmy even holding it together? Or is she? Ahead, check out the almost floor-length look for yourself. It'll leaving you declaring, "Kim K, oh Kim K, let down your hair!"
It's no secret that Kim Kardashian lives for hair length.
Since as long as we've been following Kim K and every single one of her beauty switch-ups, there is one thing that has almost always stayed consistent: hair with some serious inches. Even as she's switched up hairstylists, her affinity for a little extra drama has stayed the same. Like, come on, that fierce middle part is a look that will forever be a classic.
But recently she was spotted out with hair all the way down to her knees.
No joke. She took her hair to great lengths (no pun intended) when she stepped out rocking luscious extensions that were nothing short of jaw-dropping. And that was for many reasons, one of which being the styling, but the deep part and hair thrown to one side gave us levels of drama never before seen.
The recent hair switch-up came in anticipation of her upcoming eyewear collab.
Did you know Kimmy has sunglasses coming? Yep, the star is teaming up with Caroline Lemke for an edgy collection that of course calls for edgy hair. In the campaign photo, Kardashian is surrounded by look-alikes also donning floor-length extensions. "Coming soon. Follow my vision with @carolinalemkeberlin," Kardashian shared on Instagram. Summer is around the corner; time for some new shades.
So our biggest question is: Dude, how does she walk in those?
All we can picture is Kardashian trying to walk and the hair getting in the way. As someone who seriously knows extensions and lengths, I'd estimate those are about 40 inches. Dare I also mention that she's reportedly 5'3", though some say she's shorter, so this hair is literally taking up three-quarters of her body. Whew, that sounds like quite the adventure.
Even other daily tasks must be difficult.
This may be a little TMI, but how does she comfortably use the restroom? I just picture so much interference in doing the day-to-day things. Not to mention, instead of her traditional down the middle hairstyle that can easily be tossed to the back, this style packs it on to the left side of her face. This is all just sounding so stressful.
But based on how many times we've spotted Kim out with lengthy hair, we'd say she's used to it.
Maybe for her, this is child's play. As we all know, Kimmy is no newbie to a little extreme beauty. From vampire facials to grandma facials to the rumored nip, tuck, and puff every now and then, her extreme beauty measures probably feel totally normal to her. But one thing is certain: Our girl Nory had a blast being able to play in mommy's new long hair.
This hair change begs one major question.
Is Kardashian just going big for all of 2019? Maybe this length is here to stay. We're not mad at it, and as long as she doesn't trip herself, or others in the process, we're loving it. However, we'd love to see Chris Appleton work his magic and create a major ponytail moment with this length. Something that's reminiscent of Grace Jones' in the early '90s.
Because really — could you imagine Kim K without those long locks?
It seems like anytime she goes even a little shorter, she's back to the long in no time. And when you have a hair master like Appleton, it's hard not to do long hair. He's the man behind the outrageously long ’dos of J.Lo, Ariana Grande, and baby sis Kylie Jenner just to name a few.
And as crazy as it seems, we'd actually like to try it one day.
Hey, why not live on the wild side now and again? Not to say that the three-foot extensions will be our go-to style, but it'd be quite the experience to walk around with such long hair. However, we're big on not touching hair around here (word to Solange), so if we do decide to take the plunge, it'll be for our hands only.
Chris Appleton, can you hook us up?
We'd love a little VIP treatment, or at least to know exactly where he got these extensions from. And though they're probably way out of our tax bracket, girls can dream. Would you rock hair this long?
