It comes as no surprise that Kylie Jenner edits her Instagram photos. However, fans will almost always call her out on it when she does it (like they do for every other member of the Kardashian/Jenner family).
So this week, when she posted a photo with her bestie in Turks and Caicos for the Kylie Skin girls' trip, followers were quick to notice a serious yet obvious editing blunder. It makes us all wonder: Does Jenner need to brush up on her Photoshopping skills, or does she just not care?
Kylie Jenner is under fire yet again.
But it's not for something anyone is really surprised about. If you've tuned into Jenner's Instagram feed in the past week, you've seen an array of pictures from her elaborate Kylie Skin girls' trip. The activities have included yachting, chilling by the pool, and of course, snapping Instagram content.
So when she posted a photo of her and her bestie Anastasia 'Stassi' Karanikolaou donning coordinating blue resort sets, fans immediately noticed a serious photo-editing blunder. Once they zoomed in, people noticed that the pillows, which had a striped pattern, were clearly curved around Jenner's waist area. The amateur mistake made room for loads of criticism.
Twitter isn't happy about it.
She continues to create unrealistic body expectations for women, as many onlookers noted.
"I feel sorry for females that try to have a Kylie Jenner body but even as 'perfect' as her body seems to us all (regardless of surgeries, etc.), she still goes out of her way to photoshop her waist on Instagram. If someone that rich and hot still has to photoshop… then idk," someone tweeted.
People think the overedited photos encourage a lack of confidence in others.
As if we needed any more reassurance that social media isn't real, these photos surely solidified it.
"This is why girls these days have such lack of body confidence. be real ladies. The bodies of these celebrities are not real and not natural. #Loveyourself #loveyourbody," a Jenner critic tweeted.
But considering she already has such a conventionally attractive body, why is she still Photoshopping her photos?
It's been long rumored that Jenner's received more than lip fillers to accentuate her looks, and that makes the excessive photo editing all the more irritating to critics.
"I don't get how they still need to photoshop after all the plastic surgery. Kylie Jenner and her friend Stassie have same body shape, maybe they have the same cosmetic surgeon. Their friendship looked forced and staged for the camera," someone claimed about Jenner and Karanikolaou.
Others, however, simply don't care.
Jenner isn't the first and surely won't be the last celeb to use FaceTune or Photoshop. So should we all just let it go?
"I think it's funny how celebrity news networks act like photoshop is murder. 'Kylie's friend ACCUSED of photoshop. AGAIN,'" a fed up fan said. We must say, she does have a point.
The backlash comes days after Jenner defended her bestie on Instagram after people said she altered her lady regions for the 'gram.
"Stass I would delete this, your private area skin is rippling, which makes the photo looked altered," someone commented under the revealing photo. Jenner responded, "Leave her thick thighs and phat[redacted] out of this!!!!!!”
For now, we'll just leave the FaceTune-loving duo to go do what they're best at.
However, maybe Jenner can use a little bit of that Kylie Skin money to hire someone who can alter her photos without giving it away by affecting the surrounding objects.
