If you've ever dreamed of having eyes as blue as Paris Jackson's, you're in luck. A company has released a procedure that will allow you to turn your brown eyes blue â kind of.
A California-based company has developed a procedure that can change brown eyes to blue in a matter of 20 seconds.
Stroma Medical created the procedure, which uses a laser to rid your eyes of the dark melanin that makes them brown. This turns them blue.Â
âThe fundamental principle is that under every brown eye is a blue eye,â revealed Dr. Gregg Homer of Stroma Medical to DesignTAXI.
Your eyes won't immediately turn blue.
It can take up to a few weeks for the blue to appear, because that's how long it takes for eyes to shed pigment.
Don't get too excited just yet, though.
The procedure hasn't been approved in the US, so don't make that appointment with your optometrist just yet.
Additionally, it's important to note that all eye colors are beautiful, and there's no need to lighten your eye color. However, you should do whatever makes you most confident â your body, your rules â and if lightening your eye color is something that will make you feel like the goddamn queen you are, do it! Or, you know, do it once it's safe.
One celebrity already had a similar procedure done.
Rapper T.I.'s wife, Tameka "Tiny" Harris, had eye implants to lighten her eye color done in Africa. The procedure is different than the laser one, and is illegal in the United States.
