Clearly, Rihanna knows her stuff when it comes not just to creating makeup, but to applying it as well. She also gets that the key to a flawless face of makeup is skin that's been well tended to.
She and her makeup artist Priscilla Ono are no strangers to the world of skin care, but that doesn't mean every product in their artilleries is a budget breaker.
In fact, according to a recent interview, Rih and co. actually swear by a couple of drugstore staples for that flawless, glowing skin of hers.
In an interview with Refinery29, Fenty Beauty global makeup artist Priscilla Ono revealed the skin-care routine she frequently uses on Rihanna for red carpets and photo shoots.
Before she does anything, Ono reaches for Bioderma's Sensibio H2O micellar water ($15, Dermstore) to break down dirt and oil on Rih's face.
But that alone isn't enough to take care of buildup in the pores on and around the nose, which Ono says is a major problem for shoots and events.
"Having dead skin or blackheads, that’s always going to show on camera," Ono told Refinery29.
"I will always carry Bioré Pore Strips ($8, Target) ... Whether it's blackheads or just pore junk, it's glaring, and you can always see it under makeup if it’s a photo shoot or red carpet."
Yes, those Bioré pore strips. The ones you've probably been using since you were 12 or 13 years old.
Celebrities: They're just like us! Um, kind of.
Even though Ono told Refinery29 her approach is to "keep it as simple as possible," the rest of her go-to routine is pretty pricey from here on out.
Some of her favorites include Caudalíe Moisturizing Toner ($28, Sephora) ...
Dior Hydra Life Fresh Hydration Sorbet Creme ($69, Sephora) ...
Kate Somerville Oil-Free Moisturizer ($65, Sephora) ...
Sisley Paris Black Rose Cream Mask ($162, Nordstrom) ...
And Tatcha Luminous Deep Hydration Lifting Mask ($95, Sephora).
Yeah — not exactly budget-friendly picks.
But hey, I guess sometimes it costs to be THIS beautiful.
*Cries into my empty wallet forever.*
