In November, we'll be electing a new president. While we're sad to say goodbye to the Obamas, we have to look on the bright side: We've been blessed with eight years of Sasha and Malia's awesome style in the White House.
The First Daughters have grown up from cute little girls to elegant young women — and their fashion sense has evolved just as beautifully. Always age- and event-appropriate, never over-styled, always adding their own unique touches to their looks… they're basically our fashion heroes.
Let's take a look back at the best First Daughters style moments, but be warned: Watching these two grow up before your very eyes is an emotional experience.

(Sidenote: I lived in Chicago when Obama won this election. Even though I was miles away from the rally, you could still hear the cheers echoing all over the city. I've never experienced anything like it.)

This was the moment that the girls stopped being styled alike, and I am HERE for it. Sasha's blue printed dress echoes the A-line skirt of Michelle, and Malia's slouchy-cool blue blazer gives us some Presidential suit realness.

By 2015, Sasha and Malia's styles had gotten preppier and more streamlined — but still left lots of room for personal touches.
Their blue coats are still coordinated, but they're far from the days of twinning at the airport.

And of course, our girls had their MAJOR princess moments at their first State Dinner.
Sasha and Malia both wore Naeem Khan gowns; Malia rocked a subtle cat eye and nude lips with her dress, while Sasha brought back Dutch braids and a ribbon choker.
