With all the terrible news about hate crimes against Asian people that is so upsetting, many of us gentler, kinder people are wondering what to do to send a message that we welcome AAPI people, admire or are a part of this heritage, and just can't stand all this nastiness.
Target, too, is doing what it can to change this awful narrative toward support for our friends, citizens, and fellow creators who are a part of this amazing community.
Target has pulled together a collection of brands created by people of AAPI heritage so that we can all more easily support them. And given how awesome these products are, this is super easy and fun and will make us all healthier and happier.
Let's shop, people!
This sunscreen by Priscilla Tsai of Cocokind
Priscilla Tsai has built a beauty brand based on high standards, quality ingredients, environmental impact, and customer transparency. Her parents immigrated from Taiwan with nothing, so she has worked hard to create a brand that is simple, humble, and good for you β in honor of her parents' values.
This mineral-based sunscreen provides an SPF of 32 and protects against both UVA and UVB rays. It's light and not greasy, and it looks natural on. Reviewers say it is hydrating and light.
These Coconut Chips from Dang Foods
Vincent Kitirattragarn created Dang Foods with the idea of helping people snack healthier. So put down the highly processed snacks and sample these coconut chips that are plant-based, low in sugar, and less processed.
These yummy sweets are gluten-free, dairy-free, vegan, soy-free, and non-GMO, and they have no preservatives.

These nondairy creamers from Nutpods
Madeline Haydon created a collection on nondairy creamers she calls Nutpods to give people a healthier creamer for their coffee based on coconut, cashews, almonds, and yummy flavors.
So, if you are trying to get away from animal proteins that are bad for your heart, these are a delicious answer, and they come in flavors like caramel, French vanilla, and hazelnut to level up your morning brew with healthy flavor and creaminess.
A mini jade roller for calmer skin
Chill this jade roller from Mei Apothecary, or use it as it is to reduce facial puffiness, soothe your skin, and help promote fluid drainage. It is relaxing and helps skin care products absorb more easily.
Jade rollers have been used in China for centuries as a beauty ritual and as a way to apply serums, moisturizers, and masks.
This one is travel-sized, so you can take it with you anywhere.
Reviewers love adding this to their beauty routine and say it is "very meditative and helps me wind down and wake up."
This hydroponic grow kit from Back to the Roots
Nikhil Arora and Alejandro Velez created this brand to help teach a new generation about food and where it comes from. The brand offers terrariums so kids can grow foods indoors, this cactus in a self-watering jar, and kits for growing mushrooms.
This beautiful cactus comes with everything you need to create a hydroponic plant system in a frosted glass planter.
A self-watering wick system keeps the plant happy in its growing medium with no soil.
