October is Eczema Awareness Month, so I’m chiming in to talk about the skin condition I’ve struggled with since I was a kid. Let’s chat skin care products. I constantly battle with what to use on my face, especially when I’ve found the magic combo … only for a product to be discontinued.
It’s been so hard finding product matches over the years. Truthfully, most things burn or cause a breakout because of harsh ingredients. I’m convinced most companies making products that say they are good for eczema-prone skin haven’t actually consulted anyone with eczema!
But HERE, served up on a silver platter, are the non-irritating, battle-tested products I love and use on my eczema-prone face. I hope I can help any fellow sufferers!
Garnier Cleansing Water

This is a super gentle and lovely makeup remover. It is my go-to to "taking off my face" at the end of the day. Any makeup comes off super easy, which limits the amount of rubbing across my sensitive eyes. (But I make sure to wipe it all off my eyes after use or they’ll itch).
Vanicream Gentle Facial Cleanser

No problems. Ever.
This popular cleanser is free of dyes, fragrance, masking fragrance, lanolin, parabens, formaldehyde. It leaves skin feeling soft and clean without drying it out.
Vanicream Daily Facial Moisturizer

I just started using this cream and find it to be pretty gentle. It's very moisturizing despite feeling lightweight.
Honey Girl Night Crème

Get this at Whole Foods or Amazon, like NOW, because this is rich, pure, gentle perfection! The organic product line is handcrafted in Hawaii and this night crème is made of only eight lovely ingredients, including organic beeswax, honey, and rose oil. The brand also makes a super gentle eye cream!
Derma-E Vitamin C Concentrated Antioxidant Serum

This one has a fresh citrus smell that is refreshing and invigorating. It honestly gives me a little pickup in the morn and helps my skin glow. And it's formulated with probiotics and hyaluronic acid.
Biossance Squalane + Lactic Acid Resurfacing Night Serum

Admittedly, this is a luxury item and not something I use each day. I layer it on about two to three times per week and wear it overnight. It makes my skin smoother and softer! But I avoid applying it on the major problem areas I have on my face, like just under my eyes and my lips.
