Every woman has her own style and taste when it comes to clothing and fashion. Some choose to dress more conservatively, while other women choose to flaunt their bodies because they feel confident showing off their figures. While every woman should be able to make her own fashion choices, some people evidently feel there are certain places where it's not the most appropriate to let it all hang out in revealing clothing and outfits.
For example, at a family water park. One TikTok user recently shared a video of a woman at a water park wearing a skimpy swimsuit while surrounded by children, and wanted the internet's opinion.
The TikToker thought the woman's choice of swimwear was inappropriate.
TikTok user Kim Stram posted a video taken at a family water park near the wave pool where children and families were playing. The woman in question was wearing a bathing suit that appeared to have a thong bottom. It was a strappy one-piece with a rather thin thong. It's unclear whether she was there with her own children or not, but there were children around her.
The TikToker wrote, "I don’t think its appropriate there's kids all around her."
The TikTok user asked on the video, "Is this appropriate for a family water park or not?" In the video's caption, she added that while she thinks the woman looks great, she didn't think it was the right thing for her to wear around young children. She asked others whether they agree with her, or not.
Many people pointed out that in other countries, that bathing suit is pretty normal attire.
While the video appears to be taken in the US, some TikTok users pointed out that if she was in Europe, everyone else would be dressed just like her. "In Spain all family beaches, water parks are just like her," shared one TikTok user.
"In Portugal I saw all women in bikinis like this and nobody even was looking. Kids don't care. Only adults can make drama about it," commented another user.
Other commenters wrote that it's her body, so it's really her choice.
A lot of people thought that it was wrong for the TikToker to record the woman without her consent.
"It is appropriate to mind your business at a water park too," one person commented.
Others thought the woman is old enough to decide for herself.
One person noted: "Yep. She’s old enough and it’s her choice, She’s wearing something at least. Why would kids care."
But some did think the bathing suit was inappropriate.
Many said the outfit was clearly inappropriate to wear in a setting with families and children.
"It definitely isn't appropriate and for those of you saying kids don't care, you're part of the problem, kids follow what they seen think is ok," commented one TikTok user.
"It’s called having respect for others and their family this world doesn’t have it anymore," said another.
"Not with all the kids around," added another. "U.S. standards have change. of course they say it's fine. NO MORALS anymore."
