Anna Mellor and her husband, Rory, are known for their TikTok antics. She loves to play a good prank on him. It’s all fun and games until you stumble upon something you never knew was there, hiding in plain sigh. But that is exactly what happened to Anna recently. She found something she never expected: hidden love letters.
The wildly popular TikToker accidentally discovered a secret that she never expected or could have fathomed was going on for the past six years of their marriage. Rory had been writing love letters to her and leaving them in the strangest places.
How did she find out? Anna purchased a pair of gently used Fila shoes and while trying them on recently, found a secret love note written inside with black Sharpie. Inscribed inside was a note that read, “I Fila lot better when ur around." Obviously after discovering the note, Anna called her husband to tell him about the strange love letter in her shoes.

According to her video, when she told Rory about the love letter in her shoes, he pretended not to know anything about it. She said he went so far as to act confused and feigned ignorance over the entire situation.
But he couldn’t keep a straight face for long and spilled the big, six-year secret of their marriage. What was it? Rory has been leaving love letters in her shoes, pretty regularly, the whole time and Anna just noticed. So she did what any woman in her situation would do, she opened another box of sneakers and found the message, “If your feet get tired I will carry you,” inscribed on the tongue. Just imagine how many overlooked love letters she’s missed. How many has she thrown out?

She shared the secret love letters in a TikTok with the caption, “I just discovered a six-year secret my husband has been keeping from me,” and it went viral. She posted it in March and so far, it has over 2.4 million views.
Obviously, Anna was touched and shocked by her husband’s creative demonstration of love but she wasn’t alone. The entire internet has fallen in love with Rory with commenters insinuating that if it’s not “secret love notes written in your shoes” type of love they don’t want it. One women went so far as to ask, “Where did you get him and how do I get one … asking for a friend?”
Could naughty texts and hidden love letters be the foundation which a lifetime of love is built upon?
Anna and Rory are no strangers to going viral. They went viral in 2020 when Anna posted a video on TikTok in which she sent Rory a racy text that was accidentally seen by her mother-in-law. Yikes! Maybe a little embarrassing but definitely a healthy marriage full of love for one another. Naughty texts and love letters? Pretty sure everyone would agree with the commenters, this relationship if definitely #couplegoals.
Luckily, they are still putting in the effort to show one another they love each other in the big and little ways. Being able to laugh at yourself, be vulnerable and authentic with your partner, and joke with one another is a sign of a healthy relationship.
