Celebrating a birthday as an adult can feel like a letdown. Generally, friends and family don't gather to shower loved ones with gifts past the milestone 21st birthday unless it's a "dirty 30" party or an "over the hill" celebration upon turning 40 or 50. But with a little creativity, adult birthday parties can be just as magical.
One wife, Emma Blevins, went above and beyond to ensure her husband, Clint, was celebrated as he turned 27. Not only did she surprise him by inviting friends and family for a birthday party, but she also held the get-together in an unconventional location: his favorite store – Costco.

Emma Blevins posted a TikTok video showing how she surprised her husband, Clint, with a Costco birthday party.
In early May, Emma shared a video on TikTok that has since attracted more than 10.4 million views and over 1.4 million likes. When we watched, it was immediately clear why the story has received so much attention.
"If you have a guy in your life who loves Costco – throw him a surprise birthday party," the Chattanooga, Tennessee, wife captioned the clip, noting that Clint "comes to Costco more than once a week."
Clint was clueless when he and Emma embarked on a shopping trip.
The video started with Clint and Emma entering their local Costco. Before long, he spotted a family member and rushed over to say hi. But then, husband and wife kept running into friends and other family members.
"He thought it was a coincidence that everyone he knew was at Costco at the same time," Emma wrote on the video. "He was immediately telling everyone about how weird it was."

Finally, Clint figured out something was going on when he ran into his grandmother.
It wasn't until Clint ran into his "mammaw" that he suspected something was up. The birthday boy declared, "Ya'll planned this… This doesn't make sense," because his grandmother doesn't shop at Costco.
After learning about the surprise, Clint said, "One of the weirdest things ya'll have done. But it's certainly something ya'll have done."
But the surprises didn't stop there.
Next, Clint and his guests made their way to the store's food court, where a birthday cake awaited him. A clown who "likes to do John Cena impressions" and birthday music completed the setup.
Overall, the Costco-loving birthday guy seemed tickled by the surprise party.
