17 beauty products YouTubers HATED in April

Beauty YouTubers gave first impressions and wear test reviews on a ton of new makeup during the month of April.

They loved A LOT but did not hesitate to brutally review a few of the buzziest products out. Check out 17 products Manny, Tati, Nikkie and others absolutely hated during the month of April.

Tati Westbrook called the Tom Ford Shade and Illuminate ($82, Sephora) a "greasy mess."

"Why? Tom, you did us so dirty with this. It actually makes you look dirty. It will not blend in."

Makeup Shayla felt like something was really "off" about the new Jouer foundation shade ($38, Jouer) she tried.

It all boiled down to Shayla's shade match drying gray on her skin. “I just think the color is off and it looks like it has a little bit of a beige-y grey undertone. The two shades lighter are too green-yellow.” No more gray undertones for Black women in 2018, please!

Manny MUA hated the Moana palette ($11.92, Hot Topic) and did not feel like it lived up to the awesomeness of the Disney movie.

"So you're telling me Moana crossed the horizon for THIS?" he asked in his review.

"Maybe this could be a little children's palette. It's sold at Hot Topic. Maybe it's meant for five year olds."

"I would definitely suggest not purchasing it because that was a fucking fail for me."

Nicole Concilio is "over" Huda Beauty's 3D highlighter palettes ($45, Sephora) and considers them "mediocre."

"You do not need to do this many steps in order to get a blinding highlight. That’s super excessive and unnecessary. I’m so over highlighter palettes," Concilio shared.

"I love me a nice single great [highlighter]. I’m over these colors. I’m so over color highlighters … Huda’s highlighters to me are just like mediocre in my opinion. I’m really not vibing with these. I got sent three of these and I did use all of them. I’m probably just going to donate these or give them to friends."

OUCH!

Nicole Concilio also hated the packaging of the new Urban Decay Back Talk palette ($46, Sephora).

“There’s something about this palette," she said in her review. "I don't really care for it and a lot of it has to do with the packaging. This is annoying. It’s just clunky and like it won’t stay shut for me."

Nikkie Tutorials said she would not recommend The Green Palette ($24, Kylie Cosmetics) from the Kourt x Kylie collection.

“This to me is the Kylie Jenner Naughty palette ($44, Kylie Cosmetics) in a mini-version," she said in her review of the full Kylie x Kourt collection.

"If you have the palette, you definitely don’t need this one. I’m not feeling these colors too much.”

Kiki Chanel dragged the entire Urban Decay Beach Summer collection for being "totally basic."

“Urban Decay is so confusing to me. They’re coming out with stuff so fast and it’s hitting clearance even faster. They’re coming out with stuff at Colourpop speed right now," she said during her Youtube video.

She found the bronzers to look "boring."

Chanel also felt like the Beached eye shadow palette ($34, Ulta) "looks like something we’ve seen before."

"If you remove those two blue shades. It’s too basic of a palette," she said. "You can’t really create a full look with it. There’s no deep color in there. Are you just going to wear blue on your lid? There’s not enough for me.”

Alexis Briana felt there was nothing "lemonade" about Maybelline's new Lemonade palette ($9.98, Walmart).

__“__This palette is a basic palette with one yellow in there and they call it Lemonade," she shared in her Youtube video.

"How da you consider this being a lemonade palette? When I think of lemonade, I'm thinking yellow, pink, blue, summer, lemonade stands, [and] really, really bright pinks, yellows. This is not lemonade."

"This could be literally called the coffee palette or coffee with lemon and it would be the same concept. It’s so boring with one yellow. I’m not going to get that because it’s a basic warm palette that I have the colors from already."

Thomas Halbert hated the Tarte Mermaid collection SO MUCH he added it to his list of “products that need to be discontinued."

“A little birdie from Tarte Cosmetics told me that the Mermaid Collection is doing bad and here’s my thoughts: It’s because we’re over it. I’m over it. You’re over it," he said during his YouTube video.

"Are we not over the fucking mermaid/unicorn/sparkles/rainbow? That['s] obnoxious, annoying. Nine times out of 10, the mermaid collections, the unicorn collections look like kids makeup.”

Caito Potato wanted to SQUARE UP with Kylie Jenner after trying her concealer ($20, Kylie Cosmetics) in the shade Pearl.

"Some people swear by it. For me, I swear AT it," she said in her brutally honest review. "It is so SHIT."

"It's literally like putting maple syrup or golden syrup on your face. It is so thick but not a good thick."

Michael Finch hates Kat Von D's Lock-It foundation ($35, Sephora) so much he gave it a SUPER hilarious nickname.

Finch calls it "Kat Von DICK" foundation.

"It's just so thick and patchy and hard to blend," he said in a review of makeup he hates.

Joanna Kinuthia wasn't feeling how L.A. Girl's new foundation ($8.99, Ulta) worked for her skin.

"This foundation was so disappointing," she said in her review. "It doesn't blend out very well on the skin. It looks patchy and it has a really bad smell."

Kelly Strack had a horrible experience trying to put on the Ardell magnetic lashes.

"I hated them. I found these to be so incredibly difficult to apply," she shared about the experience on her channel

"It is so much easier to just put glue on a strip lash and apply it than trying to match up the little magnets. I ended up having to literally give up."

Make Up For Ever Ultra HD foundation ($43, Sephora) may be on the bestseller list, but Nikkia Joy isn't impressed by it AT ALL.

"I don't like the way it looks on my skin. I find that it settles into fine lines," she explained on her channel.

Juicy Jas felt like the Brow Boss gel ($6, ColourPop) doesn't live up to ColourPop's claims that it "lasts all day."

"It just feels like a waxy white formula. It doesn't set my brows," she said in her review.

"When I do use this product, my brows are melted away within hours especially if it's really warm outside. For me, there are so many other really awesome brow gels that I would invest in versus this that just doesn't work."

TT Sandra feels Glossier put "style over substance" with its Solution ($24, Glossier).

"The packaging is absolutely stunning," she said in her YouTube video. "Nonetheless, this did not work for my skin… It really, really irritated my skin. It gave me a red, bumpy irritation."

Liv Loves Her Makeup has already written off Lorac's Pro 4 palette because it looks "so fucking boring."

"It looks identical to the Soft Glam palette ($42, Sephora). It's just so fucking boring," she said.

"I am just really, really astounded. They came out with something so basic like this. It looks like a neutral, muddied down version of the Lorac Pro 1 ($44, Nordstrom)."
