Beauty mishaps have become a highlight of the YouTube sphere. Whether it's in the form of a bad run-in with an overheated flat iron or a facial gone wrong, we live for the drama. Now there's yet another dramatic episode we can add to our rolodex.
This time, it's faux freckles that went awry. So to all those ladies and gents who have considered creating fake freckles using henna, Naomi Jon is here to tell you not to.
Naomi Jon is a well-known and badass YouTube beauty vlogger who posts many successful and awe-inspiring makeup tutorials.
The vlogger, whose Instagram name is appropriately the "Queen of Chaos," had a not-so-successful run-in with faux freckles — and documented the whole thing.
Jon, who frequently draws on her freckles with eyeliner, decided to try henna dye after seeing another tutorial using the same products.

She applied a healthy amount of henna, which promises to last up to three weeks, and everything seemed to be going OK.

That was until Jon began to notice that her skin was turning extremely red under the henna.

Hoping that it would go away once the henna was removed, Jon wiped away the product. The result was something out of a horror film.

Her face turned beet red and Jon understandably freaked out.
After makeup wipes proved unsuccessful, she tried olive oil to hopefully fade her new freckles.

One viewer pointed out just how big a mistake that was.

So she did what any girl would do, and tried to cover it all with makeup.

That didn't work, either.
