This reality competition show was first released on Netflix in 2020. It is a social media–centered contest. Contestants live in the same apartment building but only interact via apps. They rate each other's online presence until a winner is determined at the end of the season. Contestants' online personas do not have to be truthful; they just have to be popular.
The Real Housewives of Orange County
This list would not be complete without at least one Real Housewives offering. Let's start with the original Bravo series Orange County which premiered in 2006. This series follows the fabulous lives of wealthy female residents of Southern California. There's drama, rosé, and lots of money being thrown around. You can catch it on Hulu and Peacock.
Love Is Blind
This dating series first premiered on Netflix in 2020. On it, singles fall in love and get engaged without ever meeting in person. They do this by first speed dating in a pod before deciding who to talk to longer. Once a marriage proposal is accepted, the couples go to an island for a week to get to know each other in the flesh. There is also a reunion show and three episodes after the couple says "I do." It's juicy.
Vanderpump Rules
Here's another Bravo option for you. Vanderpump Rules is actually a spin-off of The Real Housewives of Beverly Hills. It first premiered in 2013 and has taken on a life all of its own. The series follows Lisa Vanderpump and the hot young staff at her restaurants. These include SUR Restaurant & Lounge, Pump Restaurant, and Tom Tom Restaurant & Bar, which are all located in West Hollywood, California. If you don't know what "Scandoval" means, you soon will.
Below Deck
Ahoy there. You might enjoy this nautical Bravo offering which you can stream on AppleTV, Peacock, or Hulu. It follows the crew on board Honor, a superyacht during the charter season. What could go wrong with a bunch of super-entitled, wealthy guests on board? Tune in to find out.
Say Yes to the Dress
This wedding-themed TLC show is all about helping brides find the perfect dress for their big day. The action takes place at Kleinfeld Bridal in Manhattan. Sales associates have to navigate bride-zillas, overbearing families, and lots of emotions. There's drama and fashion. It's a two-for-one when you stream this series on Pluto, Max, or Hulu.
