The ‘That Costs Too Much’ Fight
The ‘I Need Less Space’ Fight
Then again, if you're finding yourself eating way too many single servings of mac 'n' cheese while you watch Neflix alone, you might start wondering if you're in a relationship at all.
What it says about your relationship: The other person is minutes away from starting the 'I Need More Space' fight.
The ‘Why Aren’t We Having More Sex’ Fight
If someone could come up with the equation for deciding the ideal amount of sex to have, they'd win the Nobel Prize. Or at least whatever prize is given for sex equations. For now, you and your partner might have the occasional disagreement of how much and how often.
What it says about your relationship: Congratulations! It says you're having sex.
The ‘Can’t We Do Something Else Besides Have Sex’ Fight
But there's always the possibility of having too much of a good thing, and maybe you're finding yourself singing, "Is that all there is?" a little too often. This fight is usually followed by one of you forcing the other to go to a museum or a foreign film.
What it says about your relationship: You're a couple of show-offs.
The ‘Why Can’t You Read My Mind’ Fight
Is it too much to ask for your partner to be an all-knowing, mind-reading clairvoyant for goodness sake? It's exhausting having to spell everything out.
What it says about your relationship: When someone says, "Do you expect me to read your mind?" that person is clearly lazy and has not interested in honing his psychic skills.
The ‘Stop Contradicting Me’ Fight
This is a common fight among couples with kids. Also called the, "Why Don't You Have My Back" fight. It usually centers around curfews, bedtimes and candy being consumed.
What it says about your relationship: You need to work on getting on the same page regarding discipline. Or one of you needs to just start getting better at hiding the contraband M&Ms.
The ‘Why Don’t You Like My Friends’ Fight
Maybe your partner's friend drinks too much or smells really bad. Or maybe he's an ungrateful bastard who made a mean comment about your lasagna that was your grandmother's recipe. (Seriously, don't ever come over again, Brad.) Whatever the case, you might not always love your partner's BFFs.
What it says about your relationship: Your partner needs to find new friends.
