Binge Drinking
Over Eating
Vacations are no time for a diet, but they're also not the time to totally throw caution to the wind and eat whatever you can get your hands on. Enjoy new and different foods without going crazy. Try to avoid binging your way through vacation.
Lack Of Sleep
It can be jarring to travel to another time zone and attempt to regulate your sleep and body clock. But a lack of sleep can lead to health issues as well as impaired judgement. Try to get on the new time zone as quickly as possible to avoid a vacation of sleep deprivaition.
Lack Of Exercise
It may be difficult to keep up your normal exercise routine while on holiday, but that doesn't mean you can't get up and move at some point in the day. If you can't get to a gym, at least take a walk. And don't forget about those hotel stairs, which are a great way to squeeze in some cardio.
Dehydration
It's easy to forget to drink water when you're busy enjoying the sights, but dehydration can definitely ruin your trip. So make sure to drink water as often as possible.
Hanging Out With Bad Influences
We all have those friends that bring out the worst in us. Let's call them bad influences. Traveling with a bad influence can lead you to make choices that put you in harm's way and get you into trouble. So choose your travel buddies carefully. Your life could depend on them.
Underestimate Terrain
If you're unfamiliar with trails or terrain, it's best to consult an expert before embarking on your adventure hiking vacation. It's easy to get lost or in over your head in unfamiliar territory.
