Celebrity Mom Style—Sandra Bullock

Chic yet Warm

A Blue-Jean Beauty

When Bullock isn't gracing red carpets or working, she's spending time with her adorable 3-year-old son, Louis. Even then, her ensembles are carefree but stylish. "Her casual fashion as a mom appears far more relaxed," says Deyette, whose credits include Today and Millionaire Matchmaker. "She appears to wear more jeans, black leggings and pants. I see her casual fashion as a chance to just be comfortable as she runs around after her son."

Eye-Catching Clutches

A lot of A-list actresses have accessories they cannot live without and Bullock's are those snazzy little clutch purses she carries on red carpets. Sparkly and classic, her clutches keep her phone and lipstick handy, but also provide convenient and easy hand placement for photos.

Accentuating the Positive

This Virginia native isn't buxom. Bullock has an impressively athletic build, a slim waist and statuesque shoulders. These are the features she plays up. "Sandra is smart in creating a slim line on her body," Deyette says. "She has chosen clothing that shows off her good features, nothing that's too billowy on her bottom half and she skips empire styles."

Flashes of Color

As playful as Bullock is, she's starting to wear fewer bright colors. "She wears a lot of black and neutral tones," Deyette says, "but she really stands out when she takes a chance with color." Shades of red or purple, for instance, make Bullock's olive complexion shine.

A Flair for Hair

Bullock has taken a few chances with her hair over the years—bangs and briefly going blond, for example—but she looks her best as a brunette. Wearing her hair stick straight is also very becoming. "She's a beautiful woman and I like her hair long, straight and brunette the best," says Deyette, a former runway producer who has worked with Michael Kors, Ralph Lauren and Kate Spade. "It creates more angular dimensions to her face."

Balancing Feminine and Masculine

Blazers never go out of style. You can dress them up and you can dress them down. And as Bullock proved at an amfAR event in 2011, the best way to play up a super feminine dress is with a masculine blazer (pictured). The sexy look featured a gold and silver AllSaints mini-dress, a black Stella McCartney blazer and silver Jimmy Choos.
