Looking for something a bit more educational while still offering plenty of opportunities for fun? Look no further than the nation’s capital — Washington, D.C. There’s no shortage of museums and attractions in the nation’s capital. Take a full day exploring the White House, the Lincoln Memorial, the Thomas Jefferson Memorial, the National Monument, and the MLK Monument. While visiting the national parks, there will be plenty of food trucks along the way where you can grab a quick bite to eat before continuing your day of sightseeing.
If you still have some energy left, check out one of the many Smithsonian museums in the area. There are plenty of museums to choose from that will pique anyone’s interest.

A trip to the beach doesn’t always have to include packing your passport. Hilton Head, South Carolina, is a great place to take the whole family with miles of family-friendly white sandy beaches with all the seafood you can think of. If you prefer not to spend your entire trip at a hotel, there are plenty of rental homes on the beach.
