Ancient Breed?
It's true that Sphynx cats were named for their similarity to the iconic ancient statues in Egypt, but that is not where the breed originated. Sphynx cats were actually originally found in Canada, of all places.
Cat of Pure Evil
One Sphynx cat became famous in the role of "Mr. Bigglesworth." Dr. Evil's cat was always with him in the "Austin Powers" movies. Mr. Bigglesworth was actually champion cat SGC Belfry Ted Nude-Gent, bred by Michelle Berge of Belfry Cattery. The feline was in all three films.

Keepin' Warm
These cats love to be warm. Expect them to find the warmest spot in the house and curl up with you whenever they can.
Hands Over Feet
Sphynx cats have very dexterous toes. They can use them like little fingers to pick up and investigate anything of interest to them. They can easily manipulate small items with their toes.
Pot Belly Kitties
Sphynx cats tend to have big bellies, aka "pot bellies." They eat twice as much as other cats, because they have a very fast metabolism. These cats like to eat, and they eat a lot.

Maintenance Required
Because these cats don't have fur, the oils produced by their body aren't easily absorbed. Sphynx cats need weekly baths to help them with the excess of oils.
