My son is turning 13 next week, which feels like an incredibly big milestone I am not ready for.
Becoming a teenager feels like I should make a bigger deal out of this year’s birthday party than the other parties I have thrown for him in the past. And because his birthday usually consists of a gaggle of fellow now-teenager boys, it’s only fitting that the messier and more unruly the party, the better.
So when I came across these throwable paintballs while browsing the Michaels’ site one day (a secret favorite pastime of mine), I knew I had to get them.
Goblies Throwable Paintballs
“Vibrant colors and the perfect mess,” described one shopper.
“Super fun and washes out great. VERY bright,” said another.
“Purple was bright and fun. They pop pretty easy. Fun for most ages,” added another 5-star reviewer.
My plan is to let the boys either have it shirtless or pick up a cheap pack of white T-shirts to let them wear and destroy, so those colors really pop. (Get it?)
Time will tell if I’m the coolest mom ever to throw a throwable paintball party, or I will come to deeply, deeply regret my decision. Either way, I popped these paintballs in my cart, and I’m hoping for the best. Wish me luck!
