Possibly the most popular president in history, Kennedy actively supported the civil rights movement and worked to restore a dwindling economy. Shortly after his 1000th day in office, President Kennedy was assassinated in Dallas, Texas, while in a motorcade.

Still alive today, he is remembered for creating the Department of Energy and for receiving the Nobel Peace Prize in 2002.
