Why Thanksgiving is More Special Than Ever This Year

As we head into Thanksgiving after a couple of years of chaos, I find that I’m really looking forward to it again. We made the most of it last year, but it was just my husband, me, and our kids. It was pretty subdued and much less crowded. The great thing about it is that we made it our own. My husband still cooked a Thanksgiving meal, but things were a bit more relaxed without having guests.

But this year will be different — and I can't wait

Parts of the year tend to run together, but this time of year, there’s a certain magic

Families get together, and we get to enjoy one another’s company. I’m so glad it’s back this year, and I know I'm not the only one. Many families will be reuniting this year, and I'm sure they'll never take spending the holidays together for granted again.

If the pandemic has taught us anything, it's that nothing is guaranteed. Time is always passing no matter what we do. The time we spend together is not only special, it's fleeting. So this year we're thankful for just getting to spend the holidays with those we love. Let's make the most of it — I know my family will.
