Having a child with a food allergy is incredibly stressful for both parents and kids. Especially when they're babies. A dad on TikTok turned to social media to get advice on what to do after he noticed his daughter had a reaction to peanut butter, and people really stepped up for him.

So many parents filled the comment section with advice and their own experiences with food allergies. Chris went through the comments and thanked people for their suggestions.
"Do not give pb again and tell the pediatrician at the next visit they’ll refer you to an allergist," one comment read.
"My # 1 rule was I never tried a new food right before nap or bed time. I did new foods/allergens in the morning where I could monitor him for a bit!" another comment read.
According to the Mayo Clinic, peanut allergies are increasing in children. They suggest talking to your child's pediatrician, even if they only have a mild reaction to peanuts or peanut butter because future reactions can be more severe. Common symptoms of a peanut allergy include skin reactions like redness, hives or rashes, vomiting, diarrhea or stomach cramps, or itchiness around the mouth or throat.
