An Idaho Mom Went on a Podcast To Blame Vaccines for Her Twins’ Deaths — Now She’s Been Charged With Murdering Them

It’s always going to be a tragedy when a mother experiences the unthinkable loss of not one but two of her children, but what if things weren’t at all what they seemed, and the truth is even more deceptively darker than what the public was led to believe?

An Idaho mom has been charged in the murder of her 18-month-old twins more than a year after their deaths. Shockingly enough, shortly after the boy and girl were found dead in a shared bed, their mother and her husband went on a controversial podcast tied to an anti-vaccine organization to suggest that her children died as the result of receiving vaccinations.

An anti-vax Idaho mom has been charged with two counts of first-degree murder in the death of her twins.

According to People, following an investigation that took over a year after their deaths, an Idaho mother of twins named Andrea Shaw has been indicted on first-degree murder charges in late June 2026.

Shaw’s 18-month-old twins, who were a boy and a girl, were found dead in a shared bed in May 2025 in Payette, Oregon, after the police received a call about a possibly deceased child, KTLA 5 reported. Authorities did not release the cause of death, People reported.

Just days after her two toddlers were found dead, Shaw and her husband made an appearance on a podcast produced by Children’s Health Defense, which is a well-known anti-vaccine organization that was previously led by Robert F. Kennedy, Jr., per People.

While on the podcast, Shaw claimed that her kids died shortly after receiving several vaccinations.

While on the podcast, Shaw suggested that her twins got sick and died not long after receiving three vaccinations, People reported.

Previously connected to the podcast the couple appeared on, RFK Jr., who is currently the US Health and Human Services Secretary, has famously made numerous changes to several vaccine polices within the United States, “stifled the voices of the nation’s top health experts, and shared dozens of questionable statements about the effectiveness and safety of vaccines, PBS.org reported.

More than a year later after the twins’ deaths, the exact cause has not been publicly released, but officials with the Payette Police Department said that Shaw was indicted by a grand jury on two counts of murder in connection to her kids’ death, KTLA 5 reported.

Even though Shaw’s attorney, Joseph Filicetti, told KTVB that authorities “were looking at [the twins’ death] as a vaccine death,” there has to be something extremely dark that occured, seeing as their mother has been arrested for their murders.

Online critics are united in thinking that Shaw was pushing an anti-vax agenda to cover up her twins’ death.

When a story like this comes into the news cycle, especially when it involves the death of two young children and their parents trying to blame the cause on receiving vaccinations, there is certainly going to be a lot of online discussion.

In this Reddit thread, a lot of folks are convinced that the parents were trying to use their anti-vax agenda to cover up the fatal harm they likely caused their poor kids. One person said, “If this woman is guilty, I would assume that she was actively pushing the vaccine story as a way of getting out in front of accusations that she knew were probably coming. How sick.”

Another individual in the thread commented, “What is the statistical odds that “vaccines” caused both of the children to die at the same time. An absolutely ludicrous and statistically improbable feat. If I were the defense, I would not die on the that hill.” Another couldn’t help but make a connection of their own by commenting, “RFK jr. jumped on this when it suited his agenda. He needs to respond now🤨.”

When one person in the thread wondered why the investigation took over a year, someone offered a plausible theory as to why. “Sounds like they investigators suspected foul play from the start but with the public attention it was getting, I assume they had to play very closely to the heart to avoid bungling any possible charges they could bring her up on. So it drew out the whole process,” they wrote.

Perhaps as the legal case progresses, the public will receive some of the answers that they’re hoping for. Ultimately, whatever the outcome, it’s incredibly devastating to think about how two young kids at the very beginning of their lives are no longer here.
