New details are continuing to emerge in the Coldplay “kiss cam” scandal that seems to have the world totally enraptured. It all started on Thursday, when footage from the concert emerged showing a couple in the audience seemingly horrified by being shown on the big screen, prompting frontman Chris Martin to joke that they were either feeling really shy or “having an affair.”
As it turns out, he might have been more on the nose with that observation than he likely thought at the time. Later, the couple in the footage was identified as Astronomer CEO Andy Byron and HR chief Kristin Cabot. There’s just one problem: Andy appears to be married. Yikes!
From the video of the moment that’s been going viral on TikTok, we can see that Andy immediately hits the ground while Kristin turns around, each of them sure to hide their faces. And now, Page Six seems to have decoded their reactions even further.
According to the outlet, Andy seems to say “F–-ing hell, it’s me,” when he realizes he’s on camera, while Kristin simply says, “This is awkward.”

In another update, Page Six pointed out that a news outlet called The Information once published an exposé on the way that Andy treated employees at his previous company, Cybereason.
“Multiple former employees said Mr. Byron would lash out against employees who disagreed with him, including threatening to fire them,” the story claimed.
Reportedly, Andy was known for putting pressure on his employees to perform for the two years he served as the company’s chief revenue officer.
“We started off in the right direction and were very successful, but [with] the pressure to grow employees and revenue, it was never enough to just say we were a fast-growing company,” someone who worked with him said at the time. “We had to be the fastest-growing.”
Elsewhere in the report, a former employee said, “People loved the company. Now they hate it.”
It’s been less than 48 hours since the footage of the kiss cam moment was shared on TikTok, but in that time, hundreds of memes (if not more) have been going viral right along with the video.
So far, none of the parties involved have commented on the situation (though there has been a statement claiming to be released by Andy and Astronomer circulating online that has since been confirmed to be fake).
