When you’re a father who loses their four children to a horrific murder-suicide, sadly, there’s really nothing left to hold onto except trying to figure out the facts of what actually happened and what led to the day of their murders.
Sarah Myers and her 64-year-old mother are believed to have died by suicide after killing Myers’ four children that she shared with their father, Brady Harmon, on June 10 in Mechanicville, New York. Text messages between the exes from the days leading up to the unthinkable incident have been shared to help determine if there was any indication to what the mother was planning.

According to TheTab.com, six people were found dead, including four children, in a murder-suicide case in New York state that involved the kids’ mother, 44-year-old Sarah Myers and their grandmother, Amy Steadman.
The four kids, who ranged in ages from 10 to 13 years old, along with their mom and grandmother, were all found dead in their home in Mechanicville on June 23, but authorities believe that they were killed 13 days prior to being found.
Horrifyingly, three of the kids had reportedly been poisoned and one of them stabbed. This all took place just days before the children were supposed to stay with their father, Brady Harmon, for the summer. Harmon had been going through an ugly custody battle with his ex for years and hadn’t seen his kids since 2019.
The heartbroken dad has shared details of the last text messages he exchanged with his ex on the days leading up to the murders.
In a Facebook post shared on August 4, Brady Harmon shared that he was able to release information about the “final communications” he had with his ex right before she murdered their four kids and herself. The dad shared that these texts were sent between May 31 and June 11, 2026.
Harmon was planning on having his kids come to Utah to stay with him for the first time in years and some of the text messages show the dad sharing their flight information with their mother. On June 5, Myers allegedly asked if they could schedule some FaceTime calls for the kids’ visit to have it in writing and if Harmon could send some child support money for new shoes.
Harmon also clarified that they had everything already planned for weekly calls with their mom on Sundays and Wednesdays throughout the summer and that he would “never prevent” their mother from speaking with any of the kids on their birthdays.
In a message sent on June 8, Harmon asked for Myers to send her some information about their kids, including their “interests, [personalities], and comfort [levels],” so he could plan “engaging” summer activities that were personalized to each child. The father also asked for their medical records and information.
On June 10, Myers told her ex that the kids had come down with a “little stomach bug,” so they would have to move their online visit. Sadly, that was the last thing he ever heard from his kids’ mother because they were likely killed that day.
The dad is ‘gutted’ about what happened and refuses to use his ex’s name.
In the caption of the Facebook post that Harmon shared, he told followers of this case that he was “still gutted by the information released … regarding the horrific actions taken against my children.”
He went on to share that he did not intend to “use the names of the people responsible anywhere near the names” of his children, Harper, Hudson, Gavin, and Gracelynn Harmon. “My children deserve to be remembered for who they were—not forever tied to those who took their lives,” he wrote.
For any online trolls or those who seem to think that the kids’ mother did this to “save” them from “harm,” Harmon shared, “The greatest possible harm was done to them. They were terrified, betrayed, and robbed of their lives by the very people who were supposed to protect them.”
Ultimately, the dad believed that his “children were not pawns to be sacrificed when control was slipping away. They were four beautiful human beings with personalities, dreams, fears, laughter, and an entire family waiting to love them.”
