Colorado Mom Arrested at London Hotel After Allegedly Killing Her 2 Kids, Injuring Another

Police in London found an American woman accused of killing her children allegedly hiding out in a hotel room on December 30. Kimberlee Singler, 35, reportedly fled to the United Kingdom after police in Colorado Springs arrived at her home on December 19 after receiving a report of a burglary. But according to police, they found a much more grisly scene when they arrived.

The mother of three and her 11-year-old daughter were injured, and her two other children were dead. Now, Singler is in a London jail, awaiting extradition to the United States on murder charges.

Police arrived at the home just after midnight on December 19.

Officers responded to a call in the 5300 block of Palomino Drive around 12:30 a.m., per a news release from the Colorado Springs Police Department.

Upon arrival, they found Singler and her 11-year-old daughter injured. The mother and child were treated on the scene and taken to area hospitals for further treatment.

Singler’s 9-year-old daughter, Elliana, and 7-year-old son, Aden, were pronounced dead on the scene, the report noted.

Investigators determined no burglary had happened.

Police reported that as investigators took over, they realized that the burglary report was false and that something much more sinister seemed to have taken place at the home.

Singler allegedly killed her two children and then injured herself and her other daughter, KKTV reported.

According to her ex-husband, the killings were allegedly motivated by a custody dispute that continued despite their divorce being finalized in 2020, the news outlet reported. The pair were reportedly embroiled in a legal battle, and Singler was allegedly not complying with court orders.

Singler allegedly failed to return the children to their father in the days leading up to the killings.

According to a release from his attorney presented to KKTV, Wentz said his ex-wife was supposed to return their three children to him on December 16 but did not appear at the agreed-upon drop-off location. Wentz contacted police, and Singler was ordered to appear in court on December 20. But before that fateful day, she allegedly snapped and committed the heinous killings.

Singler reportedly escaped to the United Kingdom.

It is unclear how, but Singler made her way to London in the days following the deaths of her children. The Colorado Springs Police Department issued an arrest warrant for the mother of three on December 26 in connection with the deaths of her children. Prior to her arrest, she had been seen on December 23, and her whereabouts were unknown.
