‘Downright Nasty’: Woman Arrested After Allegedly Urinating on Food in Grocery Store, Recording It

Police say a New Hampshire content creator went too far with a disgusting prank that could have harmed innocent people. An anonymous tipster contacted the Keene Police Department claiming to have seen disturbing videos uploaded to an internet site by 23-year-old Kelli Tedford. Investigators looked into the tip and found video of Tedford allegedly intentionally contaminating food inside a local business.

According to a media release from police posted on Facebook, Tedford allegedly urinated on food at the Monadnock Food Co-Op. Police immediately contacted the business to remove the potentially contaminated food. It apparently wasn’t just the one video either.

“During this investigation, numerous additional videos of Tedford were reviewed by investigators. At this time, it appears likely that similar historic incidents occurred in Keene and surrounding communities where Tedford contaminated items and/or surfaces with urine, as several videos appear to be recorded as early as 2021,” police noted in the release.

A short time later, Monadnock Food Co-Op issued a statement. It reads in part, “We were informed by the Keene Police Department of an incident on February 10 where an individual attempted to contaminate products in our store with their urine. Upon notification from law enforcement, we immediately reviewed store video, identified affected products, removed them from our shelves and sanitized all surfaces. We also reached out to members who purchased at-risk products. No fresh produce, meat, seafood, prepared foods or refrigerated products were affected.”

The co-op continued, Our community’s health and safety remain our top priorities. While this was a highly unusual situation, we took swift action in accordance with our food safety and recall procedures. We have also been in direct communication with the Keene Health Department, which has confirmed that no ongoing risks remain. We continue to cooperate fully with the Keene Police Department and the Keene Health Department regarding this matter.”

The story quickly garnered attention on the Keene Police Department’s Facebook page.

Several people claimed to know Tedford and allegedly had stories about her of their own. “Anyone who had experience with this girl knew this day would come it was only just a matter of time,” one person wrote.

Many others shared their disgust, such as this person who wrote, “Just because someone does something for money doesn’t make it any more acceptable. Are people actually okay because this is dangerous and downright nasty.”

Police arrested Tedford on February 21, 2025. Prosecutors charged her with felony criminal mischief, according to the media release. The investigation continues, and additional charges are possible. Per police, the court released Tedford on recognizance bail, and she will be back in court April 7.
