Couple Expecting Birth of Their First Baby Any Day Is Killed by Alleged Drunk Driver Being Chased by Police

Jennifer Loera Zarco, 25, and her boyfriend, Marc Trejo, 26, could not wait to welcome their first child together, a baby boy, at the end of April 2026. Their families recently celebrated the parents-to-be with a baby shower honoring the couple and their son, whom they’d named Elliot. The Southern California couple was driving in Pomona on April 1 when a vehicle fleeing police crashed into their car, killing the couple. The driver, Marshall Judson, was arrested and faces charges including driving under the influence.

The incident reportedly stemmed from a domestic violence call.

Per the Pomona Police Department, officers responded to a call around 9:20 the night of the crash. They reportedly spoke with a victim at the scene, and Judson pulled up in a truck.

“The suspect returned to the location in a truck, driving recklessly and intentionally struck a parked patrol vehicle. The suspect then fled the scene, initiating a police pursuit,” police noted.

Police ultimately arrested Judson a short time later. Per ABC 7, he initially faced charges of vehicular manslaughter, assaulting a peace officer, driving under the influence, driving without a valid license, felony evasion, and firearm-related charges. He now faces three counts of murder as well.

Loved ones held a vigil for the couple.

Following their shocking deaths, loved ones planned a candlelight vigil on April 3. “I just want people to know that — they keep saying that it was two lives lost, but it was three,” Zarcos’ sister, Amber Torres, told ABC 7. “The baby was his own person. He was almost here.”

Torres reiterated that she doesn’t want people to forget about the baby on the way. “I just want everybody to know that,” she said. “It wasn’t just two people that died that night, it was three.”

Loved ones banded together to help give the couple the burial they believe they deserve.

“This unimaginable loss has left our family heartbroken. Marc Anthony was a kind, loving and genuine person who meant so much to everyone who knew him. Jennifer was just as special, full of love, warmth, and kindness,” the GoFundMe page reads. “Together, they were building a future and excited to welcome their baby boy into this world. Losing all three of them at once is something no family is ever prepared for.”

The page has raised more than $50,000 thus far. The community’s generosity will help the family do what they need to do without being bogged down financially.

“I just can’t imagine what she was feeling or going through,” said Andrea Solorio, Zarco’s sister, according to KTLA. “I think she definitely would’ve done a good job [as a mother] and it’s sad that we won’t get to see that. We didn’t even get to meet the baby. But I know she definitely would’ve been the best mom that she could be.”

This family deserves justice, we hope they get a judge who takes this seriously, and Judson goes away for a very long time.
