For many kids, turning 13 is a big deal. They love the thought of entering their teenage years and how soon they’ll be adults. A dad in the United Kingdom thought he’d help his son celebrate his 13th birthday by hiring a sex worker. He arranged for his son to have a hotel party with some very adult themes. The kid didn’t like it, but his father reportedly pushed.
According to the Mirror, the unnamed father tried to give his son drugs and urged him to participate in a sexual encounter with a sex worker. When the boy’s mom caught wind of his plan, she contacted police. They ultimately arrested him, and now he’s headed to prison.

The boy didn’t want anything to do with his dad’s plans.
According to court documents obtained by the Mirror, the father reportedly took his son to a London hotel where he offered him cocaine. The father also hired sex workers to meet them at the hotel. When his son said he didn’t want to participate, his father apparently said, “Don’t be a p—y.” When the two sex workers arrived, the father lied about his son’s age and told them he’d already turned 18.
The boy’s father coerced him into participating.
He reportedly encouraged his son to go into a room with a 26-year-old sex worker he had hired for oral sex. According to a police statement, the boy said he felt disgusted afterward and contacted his mother to tell her what happened. His father paid the women after the encounter, and they left.
The boy’s mother contacted police.
She reportedly received a message from the father that read, ‘P— off. I’ll guard him with my life, let the boy stretch his wings.” She contacted police, who ultimately arrested the father. During a court appearance, he tried to plead his case, saying he’s a “good father,” but the judge didn’t seem to see it the same way.

The father will spend the next four years in jail.
The father told the court he just wanted to help his son out, according to the Mirror. “It was only because he was feeling down because he’d broken up with his girlfriend, and he said he’d done all that stuff before. I’ve genuinely got a good heart. On paper, I must sound like an absolute reprobate, but that’s not the case at all.”
He ultimately pleaded guilty to arranging for a child to engage in sexual activity and offering him cocaine, the news outlet reported. The court sentenced him to four years in prison.
