When you've had a long night out, sometimes you want to cuddle up with someone special and go to sleep. If you don't have a human someone special, your dog is always good. And if you don't have a dog, why not just pick up a stray on the way home? Yes, that sounds crazy, but it happened. TikTok told us so.
A woman named Melissa shared her dad's hilarious drunken adventure on her TikTok, @melissaleigh224 and it's too good to miss. The dad was worried about a couple of stray dogs he met on his walk home from a pub and ended up with them in his bed at the end of the night. It's truly like something out of a movie.

The dogs caught his eye.
The dad was apparently heading home from a night on the town when he saw two fluffy dogs wandering around. It was late at night, and the poor dad was concerned. He tried to ditch them, but the dogs were hot on his tail. He couldn't just leave them, and when they continued to follow him home, he figured they needed him.
He didn't know what else to do.
He texted Melissa pictures of the dogs, and when she didn't have any great advice, he decided to bring them with him for the night. Melissa shared a video of her dad with the dogs on his bed, just as happy as they could be. They'd all clearly been through it, so settling in for a nice rest was just what they all needed.
People were howling at the dad's predicament.
It's no surprise that the video has been viewed more than 16 million times. It's positively hilarious. The comments section was filled with jokers.
This one came in hot: "they changed their Google Maps 'home' location immediately." And the jokes kept coming.
Like this person who wrote, "The dogs are like 'This is OUR master now.'"
And this: "The funny thing is, they probably walked him home ."
The dogs clearly didn't get what was so funny. "Them both looking at you like 'not sure what the issue is or why you're laughing in our faces but good morning to you too,'" someone commented.
The dogs weren't strays, after all.
In a follow-up, Melissa tells us they took the dogs back to the area near the pub and found their owners. When her dad found them, he texted her they were "proper dogs" and didn't look like strays, but he didn't know where they lived. According to their owners, the dogs wander off quite frequently but have never had a sleepover.

These pups aren't the only ones who've had some adventures.
This person accidentally took someone's dog: "We were in the park. I saw a lonely dog, picked it up and called the owner's number. They answered with a laugh and said that they had seen me pick up the dog from their yard."
This person's dog went on the hunt for a new family: "My dog has gotten out from the backyard, went in a random family's garage and almost got a new family due to being friendly. He walked himself back home after the family confirmed he wasn't a stray."
Melissa, thank you to you and your dad for the laugh. The holidays are just around the corner, and we think your dad needs a four-legged friend this year.
