A lot of parents might lose their cool at something like this, but a dad who handled the situation perfectly is going viral on TikTok after his daughter debuted a truly unfortunate haircut. This is too sweet!

Writing on the video, “that one time my niece cut her hair in the most hilarious way,” the OP included footage of the little girl with hair she clearly chopped up herself — and the other kids in the room can be heard giggling around her.
It is a funny haircut, but judging by the look on the little girl’s face, it seems like she already realized that it was a bad idea and she’s experiencing some major regret… and probably also a good bit of embarrassment.
Her dad’s first instinct wasn’t to be angry.
Instead, he just laughed and pulled her into a hug, asking her, “Why did you do that?” Once we can see the back of her head, it’s clear how long her hair must have been just a few minutes later, so it looks like this is a major change.
Then, the real magic happens: He takes his daughter into his arms so they can go get her cleaned up, and she looks like she’s about to burst into tears. One of the other kids says, “get a wig for her!” but dad’s not having it. “No, she still looks beautiful,” he replies.
