Department of Homeland Security’s Recruitment Ad Looks Eerily Similar to One From Another Infamous Group

If not Nazi fascism, then why Nazi fascism-shaped? At least, that’s what some are wondering when it comes to the way the Department of Homeland Security views recruitment for Americans. In what can only be described as a propaganda recruitment poster (believe me, I tried other synonyms and they didn’t quite hit), the government agency has created something that looks so similar to Nazi recruitment ads from the 1940s that it’s scary. Like, literally scary for the United States.

That’s what one TikTok account shared in a post about a DHS recruitment ad that closely resembles how Nazi propaganda portrayed soldiers during the Holocaust. This is in addition to the ways that government officials have blatantly shared their views on what many see as human rights violations on undocumented citizens and even Americans across the country. Nazi might be a strong word, but we can safely say fascism is on American soil.

The poster was compared to Nazi propaganda from the 1940’s.

In the TikTok video, the user compares a DHS recruitment video with knights and swords to propaganda ads from the 1940s in which Nazis were portrayed as knights fighting the opposition. In this case, the opposition was the U.S., the U.K, and other opposing countries during World War II.

“It’s not even a dog whistle at this point, it’s just straight copy and paste,” the TikTok user says in the video. “The new recruitment ad features several knights lurking through the fog, and the poster [is] captioned ‘defend your hearth and home.’ This is exactly the same kind of imagery that Nazis used in their propaganda.”

So if things weren’t already scary in the U.S., the DHS is using World War II as a blueprint. OK, not really, but the similarities between the recruitment ads are hard to ignore, and the implication is that the U.S. is unafraid to showcase the similarities between what the DHS is working toward.

The TikTok user points out in the video that, prior to the ad that the DHS posted on X (formerly Twitter), the DHS made a post that simply said “Remigrate.” According to CNN, the word was once used by Nazis to describe their ideal country, where people they believed did not belong there were sent somewhere else.

ICE is offering a lot to recruiters at a time when there are financial crises in the country.

The DHS recruitment posters and social media posts are all about adding numbers to ICE. You know, the masked individuals walking the streets of American cities with no solid identification and no way of being impersonated by even more harmful individuals. Yeah, those people.

According to ICE’s website where new prospective agents can sign up, new agents can qualify for a $50,000 sign-on bonus and possibly even $60,000 in student loan repayment.

I don’t have to explain what the government could do with that kind of money if it were spent helping people instead of targeting innocent individuals. Instead, we have Bond-type villains in office and in charge of making sure their views are wide open.

Did one of the higher-ups binge-watch Scandal and get too excited by the secret agent storylines? Honestly, it seems like it.
