Hospital Claims It Caught Mom Injecting Fecal Matter Into Her Child’s IV After Using Bathroom

As moms, nothing makes us feel more helpless than watching our sick children suffer. All we want to do is take their pain away, but sometimes, it’s not that simple. Every year, millions of children have long stays in hospitals. Parents patiently sit by, hoping and praying for healing. Ohio mom of four Tiffany Le Sueur stayed by her child’s side at Nationwide Children’s Hospital in Columbus during a recent stay. But shockingly, surveillance cameras reportedly caught the mom injecting human waste into her child’s IV. She’s now facing felony charges

According to court documents, hospital staff contacted police on February 6, 2026, with concerns about Le Sueur, the Columbus Dispatch reported. They feared she was abusing her child. WTVG reported that staff saw the mother attempt to inject something into the child’s IV line. Nationwide Children’s staff informed police that they would monitor Le Sueur’s visits from then on. Two days later, they allegedly witnessed something disturbing after Le Sueur used the bathroom.

Court documents state a hospital staffer contacted police on February 8 after seeing Le Sueur inject a “foreign substance” into the infant’s IV line after using the bathroom. Detectives arrived a short time later, and National Children’s staff said surveillance caught Le Sueur taking a cup into the bathroom. When she came out, the cup had what appeared to be fecal matter inside that she then injected into the IV line inserted in her child’s hand.

Police subsequently detained Le Sueur, and staff treated the child, WTVG reported. The child’s current condition is unknown. Police arrested Le Sueur shortly thereafter. She faces a third-degree child endangerment charge and is in jail on a $250,000 bond.

Just weeks before the alleged incident, Le Sueur posted a photo on social media of her twin daughters lying together in a hospital bed. Police did not release the child’s age or gender at Nationwide Children’s, but the timing seems awfully coincidental. We’re so glad the staff intervened as the consequences could have been deadly.
