Three young brothers are dead after a Thursday shooting that also injured their mother. Chad Doerman, 32, was arrested and charged with murder after he allegedly shot and killed his sons, who were 7, 4, and 3 years old. The shooting happened around 4:15 p.m. in Monroe Township, Ohio, less than 30 miles from downtown Cincinnati.
After being dispatched to the scene, deputies from the Clermont County Sheriff's Department arrived and began lifesaving measures on the children. They attempted to revive them at a home near Laurel Lindale Road and Clermontville Laurel Road but were unsuccessful.

Doerman allegedly also shot the children's mother.
According to a news release from the Clermont County Sheriff's Department, Doerman allegedly fatally shot his sons and injured their mother. She frantically called 911 and reportedly yelled to dispatchers that her "babies had been shot." The chaotic scene drew witnesses who tried to help.
Someone made a second call minutes later.
A witness placed a second call three minutes later, noting that a young girl was running down the street and screaming that her father "was killing everyone," the release stated. Emergency responders went to the home and found the victims and the suspect outside.
Doerman reportedly cooperated with police.
The boys' mother was taken by ambulance to the University of Cincinnati Medical Center for treatment, according to the release. Doerman was sitting on the steps outside the home and was detained by police. He was reportedly taken into custody without incident. The sheriff's department announced no additional suspects or threats to the community.
"All life saving measures were unsuccessful and all three gunshot victims succumbed to their injuries while on scene," authorities explained in the release. "A fourth gunshot victim, later identified as an adult female age 34, was also located outside of the residence. The female sustained what appeared to be a single gunshot wound to her hand" that was not life-threatening.
Doerman showed off his sons on social media.
On his Facebook page, he shared images of himself with his three sons during happier times. A photo posted June 11 shows the boys and their father giving the camera a thumbs up, and a comment from Gloria Doerman reads, "Grandma loves this picture."

The father is now charged with murder.
After he was arrested and questioned by detectives, Doerman was charged with three counts of aggravated murder in connection to the deaths of his sons, according to a second release from the sheriff's office.
Doerman is being held in the Clermont County Jail without bond, the second release noted. He was expected Friday at Clermont County Municipal Court for arraignment. A grand jury will determine if he will face additional charges.
