Man Dead & Girlfriend Fighting To Stay Alive After They Allegedly Had ‘Spiked Drinks’ on Vacation in Thailand

Tom Pardhy and his girlfriend, Naomi Raksha, departed their home in the United Kingdom for an extended vacation in Thailand. Pardhy, 38, died suddenly on March 6, 2026, and Raksha is reportedly fighting for her life. The pair’s families believe they ingested “spiked drinks” and Pardhy died as a result. His death came as a total shock to those who know and love him, and they’re grappling with what exactly happened so far from home. Raksha feels lucky to be alive.

Pardhy died while visiting Bangkok.

According to an Instagram post from Pardhy’s family, his death was “sudden, accidental, and unexpected.” The 38-year-old yoga instructor and his girlfriend, 31, planned to spend six weeks traveling around the country, but things reportedly got cut short after they allegedly consumed spiked drinks, per the Daily Mail.

“We know this will come as a terrible shock to all his many friends. He was an absolute beacon of light in his East London community and beyond… From the festival circuit, to his beloved yoga community, we know he will be dearly missed by so many,” his relatives shared in the Instagram post.

The family declined to disclose information about his cause of death on social media.

Instead, the family asked those who loved Pardhy to share their happy memories in the comment section and to refrain from speculating.

“We are keeping what we know about the circumstances of his death within our close family and friends, and ask that any questions about exactly what has happened are not asked here. Please respect our privacy at this time,” the family asked in the post.

Pardhy’s girlfriend claims she stared death in the face several times.

Raksha took to Instagram to share her story and her love for Pardhy. “I suffered a heart attack and was pronounced dead multiple times before slipping into a coma. By every medical measure, the odds of surviving weren’t in my favour— yet somehow, I am still here,” she wrote.

Raksha added that focusing on Pardhy’s love helps her get by day-to-day.

“He was my best friend, my biggest fan, my rock, my confidant, my teammate—my guy,” her post added. “I loved him like I’ve never loved anything before, and the past six weeks we had together were magic. That’s what I’m holding onto to get through this.”

The incident remains under investigation.

According to Daily Mail, the Foreign, Commonwealth & Development Office is aware of the incident and is investigating Pardhy’s death.

“We are supporting the family of a British man who has died in Thailand and are in contact with the local authorities,” a department representative shared with the news outlet.

We always hear about being careful when visiting other countries, but we may never consider all the terrible things that can happen until they do. Hopefully, Raksha will continue to heal, and they’ll get to the bottom of what killed her boyfriend. If someone poisoned them, may the authorities hold the responsible party accountable.
