The man was allegedly in bed with a teenager.
A Philadelphia Police Department source told Fox 29's Steve Keely that the victim was in bed with an 18-year-old woman. The suspects, the teen's mother, and her boyfriend, allegedly attacked the man first with gunfire and then with a flammable liquid before setting him on fire.
In Pennsylvania, the legal age to consent to sexual activity is 16 years old. In the eyes of the law, the teenager and the man were not doing anything wrong as long as it was consensual.
