Missing Baby Found Dead Outside Near Naked Dad 2 Days After Deputies Found His Dead Mom

Police in Idaho have arrested a man wanted in connection with his wife's death and the alleged kidnapping of their son. Authorities have confirmed that hunters found Jeremy Albert Best naked on the side of the road and the dead body of his 10-month-old son, Zeke, lying hear him in Bonneville County. They arrested the father Saturday just two days after his wife, Kali Jean Randall, was found dead inside their Teton County home.

The news of the infant's death has devastated his family, who said they had no idea there was trouble in the couple's marriage. Now, they grieve the loss of a beloved mother and her baby, wondering what happened.

Police reportedly responded to a 911 call at the family home on Thursday.

According to a release from the Teton County Sheriff's Office, deputies arrived at a home around 11:40 p.m. Thursday after allegedly hearing a domestic dispute during a 911 call. When they arrived, they reportedly found Randall unresponsive, but Best and Zeke were not at the home. She was later pronounced dead, and the search began for the father and son.

Authorities issued an Amber Alert on Friday.

The day after Randall's death, police issued an Amber Alert for the baby, warning that Best was likely armed and dangerous. He was said to be driving a black 1995 Chevrolet Tahoe, the release stated. Deputies found the vehicle the next day, along with a disturbing scene.

Hunters reportedly found the pair on the side of a road.

The Bonneville County Sheriff's Office released a statement Saturday announcing that hunters found Best on the side of the road near Kepps Crossing Road and Dan Creek Road.

The hunters called 911 to report that Best was allegedly naked in a sleeping bag and making strange statements. Upon their arrival, deputies arrested Best and, sadly, found the body of his infant son nearby.

The incident shocked family.

Randall's brother, Brian Randall, told People that his brother-in-law was a "normal guy," and he and his sister appeared to have a good relationship. But, he admitted, "Sometimes maybe you don't know people." He loved his sister. "She was absolutely a genuine beautiful soul," he shared.

According to her social media, Kali Randall was an artist who loved living in the mountains. She and Best married in 2022.

Randall seemingly loved her husband.

She shared loving Facebook posts about her husband, including their wedding images.

"Our first date was three days long. Dropped off on a dirt road in the middle of Grand Teton National Park. Moments later J bounded down the washboard in Ginger, his custom built rust colored VW Vanagon," she wrote on November 9, 2022. "It was love at first sight, me and the van. (You already know how I felt about the boy)."

According to the East Idaho News, medical personnel evaluated Best and cleared him. He was processed in Bonneville County Jail and booked on an outstanding warrant for homicide in Teton County. His initial court appearance was scheduled for Monday. It was unknown if he will face additional charges.
