Teen Girl Arrived at Airport But Never Boarded Her Flight — Now She’s Been Missing for Days

A missing teenager was last seen at the airport on May 15, 2025. Though the girl, who has been identified as Pheobe Bishop, 17, arrived at Bundaberg Airport in Australia, she never checked in or boarded her flight. Pheobe’s mom Kylie has shared several updates on Facebook.

“I honestly have no words to describe our heartbreak, heartache or fear that we won’t see or hear from her again,” she wrote on May 18.

The teenager reportedly had plans to fly to Western Australia to visit a friend, the Australian Broadcasting Corporation reported. Detective Acting Inspector Ryan Thompson, told the news outlet that it’s unclear whether Pheobe chose to leave the airport on her own or not.

In an update shared on May 19, Queensland Police reiterated that the teen was last seen at Airport Drive, Bundaberg at around 8:30 a.m. on May 15. On May 19, police searched the area but weren’t able to find the teenager or any of her belongings.

Before she went missing, she was seen wearing a green tank top and gray sweatpants and traveling with her luggage. In a Facebook post on May 17, her mom said that no one has had contact with Pheobe since the morning she went missing. Additionally, the teen has not been active on social media and has had no bank transactions even though “she spends money like water,” according to her mom.

Some people have suggested that the teenager could’ve run away. On May 18, Pheobe’s mom addressed these comments. “We are lost at what to do next and people keep asking has she RUN AWAY?” the mom wrote. “If you knew Pheobe you would know that she is free spirited and loves hard! She is loyal to the core and cut throat.”

She added that her daughter “would never leave her family without contact.” In an update shared on May 20, the mom said she and her loved ones “are holding onto every bit of hope that our daughter, sister, auntie, [niece], cousin and imperative member of our family comes home soon.”
